We continue to highlight your neighbors and former residents of our beloved city in the latest edition of The People of East Palo Alto series. As with the first set of interviews, we attempt to put a face on our city’s story as told by the people themselves. We’ve slightly changed the format to feature audio-portraits – still images with clips of their audio interviews combined – of five new faces from EPA: Thandiwe Jennifer Lyons, Leonardo Huerta, Ray Askew, Paulina Del Toro, and Dominique Pearson.

“…it’s about as much as ingrained in me as it is in my culture. EPA is part of my culture. It’s part of my identity. I cannot think of myself outside of East Palo Alto. I walk with it no matter where I go.” – Leonardo Huerta.
